Tosh McCaber
Can anyone give me any info re the ESC in the enclosed photo. I've been given the ESC, but I can't find any info on it. Not sure what size plane or motor it would fit in with. Any info appreciated. Thx
Bob Cotsford
I'd think it's quite old as it lists NiMH cell counts rather than LiPo. The website shown www.electronicmodel.com looks a bit dodgy too. It says 7-12 cell, so that's 8.4-14.4v, and 75A. I'd be wary of using that in anything you care about
Keith Berriman
Agree with Bob its an early unit using Nicads on brushless motors set ups I remember seeing one early on in a pals plane and he said it was a bargain on E Bay
Chris Walby
As bob says be wary.....I would stand well back when you bench test it the first time and give it some serious hard work to be sure. Capacitors dry out and will reform or emit magic smoke (my money is on the latter) if you can't disconnect the lipo it will damage that as well....As Clint would say....Do you feel lucky...well do you? PS - do let us know how you get on...but be safe.
