Are IC Props suitable for Leccy motors?

Simply yes

IC props have to put up with a lot more vibration and forces so normally come out heavier and more expensive.

So if you already have a ic prop then use it.

If you are doing a lot of electric prop hanging you may notice the additional inertia of the higher mass IC prop. laugh

The only limitation I can think of is max rpm, but you would have to have a very high KV motor and cell count to get close.

The following are suggested RPM limits for APC propellers:

  1. Glow Engine (includes Sport and Pattern Propellers) and Speed 400 Electric Propellers
    Maximum RPM=190,000/prop diameter (inches)
(For example, a 10x6 glow engine prop should be limited to 19,000 RPM)
  2. Thin Electric (E) Propellers and Polycarbonate (Durable) FPV Propellers
    Maximum RPM=150,000/prop diameter (inches)
  3. Folding Electric (F) Propellers
    Maximum RPM=120,000/prop diameter (inches)
  4. Multi-Rotor (MR) Propellers
    Maximum RPM=105,000/prop diameter (inches)
  5. Slow Flyer (SF) Propellers
    Maximum RPM=65,000/prop diameter (inches)
  6. Racing Propellers (including Carbon)
    8.75 N, W and 8.8 Series 40 Pylon Props
Sport Propellers (for IC Engines) on Electric Motors
    Maximum RPM=225,000/prop diameter (inches)
  7. Racing Propellers (including Carbon) on Electric Motors
8.75 N,W and 8.8 Series 40 Pylon Props on Electric Motors
    Maximum RPM=270,000/prop diameter (inches)

PS APC web site quote the max RPM for IC and electric props so you can check there if you wish

"Will I be able to use them??"

Yes

Only minor annoyance is liable to be the hole in IC props is often an imperial size (1/4 or 5/16 UNF) and not metric which most electric prop drivers seem to use... but a taper reamer will sort that.

Personally, I have a few of the old Graupner grey props in use on my electrics. They work perfectly well.
