So they are reducing the price to reflect no VAT, but not telling you that.

Ultimately it is a lesson on making sure that you are clear on what it does or doesn't include, and accepting that if it doesn't include the VAT you will have to pay a handling fee to the courier (in this case £12)

Got it - I selected GBP assuming that would give the UK price. At least they aren't ripping you off then and it doesn't look like they were intentionally trying to mislead you as there is no mention of VAT on this or other non-EU pages. Maybe drop them an email asking them to put something more obvious on the site such as VAT free in the same way the EU pages say VAT incuded.

It's a timely reminder that we need to use a little extra care until we and regular suppliers are used to the new regulations.

Courier fees are another matter altogether and I suspect that couriers are taking full advantage of the situation and rates generally charged by competitors - typical fees the other way seem to be around half that.
