Not all BBC TV programmes are broadcast to all of Britain & never have been for a long time (if they ever were). Which region/country receives a specific live broadcast depends on several criteria, e.g. the target audience of the production company, the language used, the likely limited interest of the subject of the programme to "mainstream" channel audience, etc.

Note that the ALBA channel is not wholly owned by the BBC.

Also, as has already been pointed out, this particular programme will be available on iPlayer after broadcast.

Thanks for the heads up, I've just set up my Virgin box to record it. For anyone with Virgin cable Alba is channel161
