Viv Letherby
Can any one tell me which model carburettor was fitted to the O.S. Max after 21 on the one with strap on silencer The engine has a 10mm choke as opposed to the earlier one with 9mm choke.
PatMc
If it's the 25 FSR the carb is an OS 2b. Sceptre Flight have the Peter Chinn engine test here.
Viv Letherby
It's not the FSR It is just an OS Max but with a bolted on muffler.
Viv Letherby
Sorry I was expecting to see FSR on the crankcase. I now think it is an FSR, after comparing it to my FSR they both have 2607 on the backplate!
Viv Letherby
In the papers with my FSR it describes 3 carbs 2B 2CA and 2CB. is the 2CB the latest model?
PatMc
The only other "OS Max" 25 with a bolt on silencer that I can recall is the "Max FP" 25. Carb is a type 2a according to these instructions. Searched & typed whilst you were posting. Edited February 27, 2021 by PatMc
