Anyone recognise this mystery glider for the 1970's?

Recommended Posts

I'm looking for clues on the ID of this mystery slope soarer. Fibreglass fuselage, looks like veneered foam wings but could possibly be built up and sheeted. 72" span, all flying tail, big rudder, ailerons operated via a central servo and torque rods. Allegedly a 1970's design and actually not too bad at all weight wise.

Any clues as to the identity would be gratefully received.

It looks very much like the glider one of my club mates used to fly when I was a teenager (late 70's) but I don't remember it having ailerons.

His name was Ozzie and used to drive an american Mustang.

His glider was called a Sperber but I can't find anything on line about it.
