Spektrum Rxs

Recommended Posts

Hi I've just received a couple of Spektrum AR6100e receivers, each with a pair of short (30mm )aerials.  Not sure about their vintage- a flexible case with open ends, as opposed to the usual Spektrum hard case.  Couple of questions-

Will they work with a DX9 Tx?  and-

Are they OK as is, with the mini antennae, or do they need a satelite antenna?

Yes, dsm2 only so you need an early DX9 to bind. Try them, and find out. Be aware, if new, they are probably not Spektrum products, but a knock off.
If a knock off, they might be good, but if the maker has not put his name on it, how much do you trust the maker.
They were designed for lightweight models, only weighed a few grams. Try a standard range test.

I have one in an Alula. Works well bound to a DSX9 (DSM2 9X2). The ariels are fine as they are, its only the last inch or so that does anything anyway. I have had the little Alula at the limit of being able to see it with no range issues, it is only wee mind.
