Thomas W Shelley
Just bought this second hand - does anybody know the model? Would be good to work out what it is then I can find CG, throws etc. Cheers
Alan Gorham_
I think it's a J-Power 64mm AMX. I used to have one until one wing panel fell off in flight.

Yep, that looks like the one. The instructions are downloadable online and are attached, but are predictably abysmal; there are no control throw recommendations, but at least there is a CG diagram... amx_7040.pdf Edited June 1, 2021 by MattyB
Alan Gorham_
It really isn't critical on throws from what I remember. There are mechanical limits due to the linkages and live hinges anyway, so that is a good guide. Mine flew perfectly from it's first launch until the wing fell off. Butt joining wings onto fuselage with epoxy not a great idea!
Thomas W Shelley
Cheers everybody, these forums really are full of generous and knowledgeable folk. Looks like it should be a good bit of fun! My first EDF although I've flown some pretty quick wings, so hopefully I'll survive ? Alan Gorham_
It's not a particularly fast or twitchy flyer. It can turn into a dark silhouette quite fast though on a cloudy day!
