Euros 2020 ? Football.

Well that fizzled out at the end, The third goal for Croatia was a killer. Bright start by Scotland, before Modric took control and started to boss the game. Then a superb equaliser and it looked like there might be something in it for the boys. Modric's goal was a stunner, but Scotland still had some fight in them. The headed goal put an end to that.

Bottom line is that the strike pair for Scotland don't have the required quality -even though Adams had a good game, they didn't take their chances and didn't really trouble the defence.

Hmmm. Excellent Saka, great from Grealish, Kane getting sharper, why can’t Walker pass quicker and forwards, why is Sterling offside so much?

With all restrictions in place how on earth did Gilmour contract Covid?

Agree about Saka but apart from a few good moments (the assist for the goal was brilliant) I didn’t think Grealish really brought the game alive.

As for Harry Kane, I didn’t think he was on his game at all. Every time he got the ball under any pressure he looked like a rabbit caught in the headlights.

At least Billy Gilmour gave Scotland their only positive result of the finals! More seriously, you have to wonder if it was a false positive but otherwise it’s a timely reminder that we still can’t relax our guard against the coronavirus.

Harrys leggy no doubt about it, been that way all year, but he still tops the scoring list, who we got who's better ?

Sterling ? He has 2 goals so it looks o.k, but he most often loses the ball, misplaces the pass, goes missing from position when defending.

Saka looked good, quick and taking defenders on, more please.

Grealish, stick with him, he tries to go forwards.

Manager / Go back to pizzas.

Refs ? been the stars of the show, waving play on when players throw themselves at the floor over the slightest of contacts, more please.

Pep and Spain ruined football for me. He had an exceptional group of talent, that could play the "tippy tappa" football, and it looked beautiful. Nowadays everyone is trying to play possession football, but when they get into the final 3rd, no one dares to make anything happen, take risks, make a run... all so dull and predictable. Only Italy look like they can play that way and occasionally the Germans look adventurous. No team steps onto the field to win anymore, they all step on not to lose, making for a dull event all round. Bring back the long ball, blood and thunder!!

You have a point in international football, but that isn't true of the vast majority of club teams, at least not in the UK - there is still a healthy blend of styles in the Premier and Football leagues. I don't think anyone could accuse the likes of Burnley, Crystal Palace or even Liverpool and Man U of playing "wannabe tippy tappa"! ?

Very disappointing performance from Wales, after a bright start they simply couldn't live with Denmark and didn't trouble the keeper at all - a bit of defensive naivety didn't help either. The scoreline didn't really flatter the Danes.

So just England left in to get battered on Tuesday then.
