Geoff S
Having seen club mates 400 mm ws Mustangs flying at the field I was sorely tempted when Bangood was offering the similar T 28 at £61.48 inc VAT and postage last week. As they were (are still?) stocked here in the UK, I ordered one on Wednesday 9th June and it arrived this morning just 3 days later via RM. Apart from 4 X AA batteries needed for the transmitter it's all there in the very well packed box including 3 off 400 mAh 1s LiPos. Whilst the provided transmitter is OK I've opted to use my Horus with a Jumper multi-protocol unit in the module socket (so far, I've only used in DSMx mode with my RealFlight sim). It uses the V761 protocol and binds easily. The channel set up is: Ch1 - Rudder. Ch2 - Elevator. Ch3 - Throttle. Ch4 - Aileron. Ch5 - 3 position switch to select the Beginner/Intermediate/Expert gyro options. I prefer to use my 'proper' transmitter because A) it allows me to use a motor disable switch (though perhaps there's insufficient power to chop a finger off I guess it could make a nasty cut) and B) I much prefer to use finger and thumb on the joysticks with a tray rather than thumbs. Plus, if I have everything on the same transmitter it's less to take flying. One disadvantage I've noticed is that the aileron servo sticks out the bottom of the wing and seems vulnerable if, as some do, the tricycle undercarriage is left off and the model is hand launched (which seems very easy). It may not be an issue but, for the time being, I've fitted the undercarriage. Anyone else indulged themselves? Geoff
