Christopher Long 1 Posted June 29, 2021 Share Posted June 29, 2021 As secretary of our club I have just been contacted by this company RC Empire ( rcempire.co.uk )and asked to register our club with them. - The email is titled 'RC Empire - New global community Hobby site. Your help is needed!' sent by a Harry Stasi. The site claims to have been founded in 2017, but the company was only registered in March of this year (and it looks like at an accommodation address)? Is this a possible scam? Has anyone heard of this outfit? To me it looks like a site on which to sell model stuff - a bit like a modellers ebay - but with so many scammers around I am not sure we should have anything to do with them. Thoughts? They have 3 years of history on the social sites, posting RC car videos on youtube, etc. Perhaps trying to branch out a bit and encourage hobby shops to network with hobby clubs via their new online shop (?) platform (which seems at an early stage).
