dave parnham
Hi folks the Futaba R7008sb which i believe came with my T16sz now recently replaced by the T18sz says in the instructions that it cannot be used for analogue servos in 12ch mode when linking to the TX ..........found this out to my cost when I assumed wrongly that the Acromaster pro had digi servos in it and I fried the rudder servo. Anyhow Can this be used in 18ch mode with analogue servos?
Simon Clark
Hi Dave, I've got a T18SZ and a couple of R7008SB. I always set up in 18ch mode and mostly use digital servos but some analogue Hitecs on throttle etc. Definitely works with these no problem. Same also applies for R3008SB Simon
FlyinBrian
I have a T14SG Tx that gives the same warning, it only applies to the 12 ch mode. In 12 ch mode the frame rate is much faster (2x ?) and digitals are needed because they can process the signal to the servos faster. I inadvertently set 12ch for one model that had some analogue servos and the servos went silly but luckily caused no damage.
dave parnham
Great Thanks, I didn't want to fry more servos it was getting expensive and I didn't know why it had happened until after two dead servos i read the Rx manual, but it still wasn't explained in any great detail.
