Electricity problems, SE5a: and advice please.

Recommended Posts

Hello me again. I hope ive solved the problem. Took the motor out completely; the shaft was rubbing on  a wooden extension id made.

I also (on my futaba 14sg) dropped the full throttle end point by 10 percent and happy as larry now at 600 watts and 38 amps.

Note to self; check, check and check again stupid !!!

PS, just a thought.  I had a motor that drew a lot more current than I thought it should. In the end, it turned out that the supplied cuneiform mount was fouling the colette that held the motor shaft and loading the motor.  It wasn't immediately obvious, so it might be worth checking.

Very similar to the problem I had 😉

Not really a good idea tbh - far better to prop it down appropriately so that you can use full throttle throw, that way you are not going to heat up the ESC when operating at “full” power for extended periods due to the additional switching required…

Thank you for that. I thought that might cause a problem. Just going to buy a couple of props with smaller pitch.
