Chiltern Models Chipmunk.

Recommended Posts

Yes John, I used to have one, when I first started flying - they were good fun, if a little fast for scale-like Chipmonkery. Mine had an OS .40FP and was my 2nd low winger, but I only flew the model maybe half-a-dozen times. She fell foul to the "The model doesn;t know that it;s windy, come on, get one up-itis" and was destroyed cartwheeling across the field without getting airborne, before I knew better

Nice models, mine was done out as an aeroplane from a University Air Squadron -the sort of aeroplane that gave us ATC bods our first Air Experience flights in the 70's.

I'm not in the best position to make an informed comment on that John, since I don't really use them, despite having several flap-equipped models -and certainly not at the rookie stage of second low winger that I was at with the Chipmunk. It felt pretty fast to me, at the time, having moved on from my trainer and first low winger.
