Small fuel tanks

Thanks, Tim.  The washer is a neat idea, but thinking about it, I can easily turn a top (or just a plug) from aluminium.

Up-thread, Davey P mentioned Cu pipe.  A while ago I used some left over fittings to make up a diesel tank.  It's ideal for the test stand, but far too heavy to fly!

For a lighter tank type setup I have used the small pressurised aluminium tanks that are used in inhalers. Unfortunately I have a constant supply of these. Cut down and then clamped together using a long M3 bolt and a penny on the open end with rubber seal. Brass tubes soldered in for vent and pickup. Easy and very light. Enough for 5 mins is so on my radio assist tomboy and DC Merlin.
