Now this is very important as it will be………drum roll….sad music ….the last one due to developers we will lose out site in 2022

so if you have never been to ASD before now s yer chance we are going to try to accommodate all who want to attend so please add names to this thread and soon in the next few days there will be a Facebook page as soon as Ian can sort it

So the all important bit the date   OCTOBER 17th is the first date with the usual backups in the following weeks

All the usual things yo have come to expect Cheff John is on site for breakfasts and lunch, tea and coffees available all day

very relaxed flying of anything scale

we are more than happy to accommodate large small , electric IC, and jets just please let us know if you intend to bring turbines

no comps no stress fly when you want

we only ask for common sense as in trying to group size and types together ie warbirds, elec, larege, small etc

if you have something really special and would like a solo no probs please ask.

we would love to make this a special day and say goodbye to our site in style.

the nearest post code is DE61LR which will get you to the lane our entrance is off the name of which I can imagine is the only one in uk Ladyhole Lane, our site entrance is on the left about 1/2 a mile after turning in from the A53 Ashbourne to Derby road

for those new to site we have a large ashphalt runway also a large grass patch

Hi Gordon

no cut off on access there will be a coded lock on gate and a code for entry, I can guess the code will be 109 mainly as I have the lock in my flight box

if all else fails there will be a mobile number or two anyone can call

bring all your club mates twill be a good un.

For all first timers here’s how it’s worked in past years

gates open from about 8am, tea and coffee available from 8 30 ish breakfast shortly thereafter, trad staffs oatcakes, bacon rolls etc

flying starts 10 am prompt

no stress flying from then until it’s to dark to see, hot food and drink is usually available as long as supplies last, all sold at cost, courtesy of our very own world famous Cheffy John,

All types of scale models welcome foamys to scale masters and everything in between

we only ask for sense and consideration and try to fly like types together in groups of up to 6 at once

with a large tarmac and grass strips and acres of sky it’s a great place to spend a day with toy planes and mates
