ceejay Posted September 2, 2021 Share Posted September 2, 2021 Well hello all yes your eyes do not deceive we have been asked by the Ashbourne committee to organise a scale day for 2021 Now this is very important as it will be………drum roll….sad music ….the last one due to developers we will lose out site in 2022 so if you have never been to ASD before now s yer chance we are going to try to accommodate all who want to attend so please add names to this thread and soon in the next few days there will be a Facebook page as soon as Ian can sort it So the all important bit the date OCTOBER 17th is the first date with the usual backups in the following weeks All the usual things yo have come to expect Cheff John is on site for breakfasts and lunch, tea and coffees available all day very relaxed flying of anything scale we are more than happy to accommodate large small , electric IC, and jets just please let us know if you intend to bring turbines no comps no stress fly when you want we only ask for common sense as in trying to group size and types together ie warbirds, elec, larege, small etc if you have something really special and would like a solo no probs please ask. we would love to make this a special day and say goodbye to our site in style. see you all there Chris, Ian and most importantly Cheff John 2 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

I'm really sorry that you're losing your flying site and I wish you all good luck in finding a replacement one which will allow you all to continue to operate your models of all types and sizes in the same fashion as now. ceejay Posted September 14, 2021 Author Share Posted September 14, 2021 For all first timers here’s how it’s worked in past years gates open from about 8am, tea and coffee available from 8 30 ish breakfast shortly thereafter, trad staffs oatcakes, bacon rolls etc flying starts 10 am prompt no stress flying from then until it’s to dark to see, hot food and drink is usually available as long as supplies last, all sold at cost, courtesy of our very own world famous Cheffy John, All types of scale models welcome foamys to scale masters and everything in between we only ask for sense and consideration and try to fly like types together in groups of up to 6 at once with a large tarmac and grass strips and acres of sky it’s a great place to spend a day with toy planes and mates chris 2 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
