Fun Flyer
Can someone jog my memory please. Did RCM&E feature as a free plan either the Mamselle or Popsie, or both, for electric power. I have a mental picture of them featured on the front cover, but that could be wishful thinking. Help, before I disappear under a mountain of old mags! Manish Chandrayan
An enlarged version of the Mamselle with OS 15 (fitted with a home made copper muffler) did feature on the front page and was a free plan in RCM&E few years back. Can't exactly recall the year
David Ovenden
The enlarged Mamselle (52") version was featured as a free plan in June 2003 RCM&E
David Ovenden
And "Chatterbox" was featured as a free plan in June 2000
Fun Flyer
Thanks guys. I had already remembered the Mamselle issue and dug it out but I can't find my 2000 mags. I did mean the Chatterbox, not the Popsie, but I think it might be a bit small. I'm looking for something vintage, large, slow and electric to keep me occupied during the winter. If all else fails yet another Super Sixty could be hatched.

If that's what you want how about a Rudder Bug, a Waveguide, a Rhoma, or even a Barnstormer instead of the ubiquitous Super Sixty. Plans are available on The Outerzone. https://outerzone.co.uk/index.asp I quite fancy Brian Sichi's Guidato myself. Its about the same size as a Super Sixty so should fly in a similar way. https://outerzone.co.uk/search/results.asp?keyword=Guidato

Mine flys great with Enya 60 at very low throttle . Only use more than half throttle for take off. Pretty sure I still have a set of plan. Loads of space for electric gear. Fun Flyer
A clubmate had a standard size Ladybird a few years ago and it was a terrific flyer. Another option I am considering is the Majestic Major, but there are good reasons for choosing the S60! It flies very well, I can build one with minimum effort and I have lots and lots of 1/4" strip. That said, there is a very nice looking 72" electric Decathlon plan on Outerzone. We'll see.
David Davis
Your choice of course FF but the models I suggested are also built substantially from 1/4" square strip.
Fun Flyer
Thanks everyone. The jury's out, we'll see.
