The nomenclature for 3 position switches is as follows - 

 

biased, centre off    on(off)on

non biased               on off on

 

so for your application you want a on off on and not a on(off)on

 

Hobbyking does a replacement 3 position switchTx switch but they only have the short handle ones.. Banggood has some too...

 

google has a few offerings under "replacement 3 position tx switch"  and select the shopping tab

The switch you have is what is required for model railway point motors, which is what the shop description was. They usually require a short pulse of current to set the points to one way or the other, then the current is removed.

If you can't find the correct switch on eBay then RS Components part number 734-7135 is typically what you want. This one has a round-section lever of about 1" length, but shorter ones are available too, as are flattened lever types. I don't know the length or style of your broken switch. Fits a 1/4" diameter hole and has solder tags.
