I have been looking for a small gas torch for model soldering, wire  u/c's and the like. There seems to be various available.

What would my fellow modellers reccomend.

I have the Dremel Versatip, very well made, use it quite regularly for soldering - ideal for precision application to heat-shrink tube as well, plus other small tasks.

I have one as well. Works nicely as a small torch, soldering iron, hot air gun. Good stuff and not too spendy

Look on Ebay for cooks blow torch . Mine cost about £9 . Only complaint is that the tank doesnt hold much . Ideal for small heating and soldering . Flame is a sort of popined shapebut no real adjustment as you would find on better types at higher cost . There are some really plastic looking one on there and Id be wary of using them for any length of time asthe heat travels up the burner plastic can soften .  I had a gas soldering iron do that once . Luckily it didnt burst into flames as I noticed the smell when it started leaking  before I lit it .
