Balsa cabin Sonata

Recommended Posts

William not 100% sure if you are referring to the Sonata glider or the Sonata E electric glider variant. However, I am sure if you give Balsa Cabin a call, and their number and website are easily googled, they can probably help you out. They have always been very helpful over the years.

Hi Bill, I know it doesn't help your question but I just wanted to say that the Sonata was my first ever RC plane that I learned to fly on. Flat field bungee launch & 27 meg radio.

Lovely stable flyer so I'm sure you'll enjoy them.

It got me off to a good start.

A few house moves later the plans are long gone, sorry.

Ditto that. I had one of the 'wide body' Sonata Es that I bought from Cliff Goater at Sandown in the 80s. Kit was about £12 and supplied in a long plastic bag with a stapled card label, rather like a giant airfix kit. Seven cheapo sub Cs, five quid buggy motor and home built switch. Managed to get half an hour flights quite regularly which was good going back in the day. I recall the model only had a single sided elevator - worked fine.

Happy, simpler days.
