JamesG
Hi everyone. I've got a Flysky Fsi6x... I've just one of those Flysky altitude sensors. Once connected it measures pressure (kPas I think) and metres - which currently reads -1005m. I'm really interested in metres, but cannot work out how to reset it. The pressure, however can be reset. I do hope I don't need a firmware update - that looks insanely complicated... Thanks for any help James

robert chamberlain
I recently bought a "Meilan" MINI GPS. it is actually a sort of pedometer for bicycles to record speed and distance traveled but if also records altitude. Not much use on a bike but great for my sailplane. I paid about $32.00. ---Bob C in KS

Brian Cooper
With modern technology, we can avoid the need for pressure-sensitive devices. An altimeter can work very effectively via electronic GPS measurements taken from the satellites.
Don Fry
Are they much good for altitude, I thought the GPS system was fine on where on earth you are, but is not much better than +/- 5 to 7 meters on hight. Air pressure units should be a lot better than that. Edited February 19, 2022 by Don Fry
Andy Gates
I have a GPS unit and a receiver with a barometric height measurement fitted to my Amigo glider and to be honest there is very little difference in their measurements. Both are more accurate if they are given a little bit of time to warm up with power going through them before use in the air.
