...not if you are the CAA and you have been mandated to ensure it includes sufficent characters for a checksum so it can be validated when broadcast via remote ID in the future...

just had an E-Mail from the CAA telling me that my REG was about to run out and send off £9 to keep registered. I renew mine when i pay my club fee's each December. I logged on to the BMFA site and sure enough I'm registered until 2023. Further down the page it says if you pay via your club to ignore the e-mail...waste of time/effort etc on their behalf..
