edwards flyboy
I'm having g difficulty running the throttle wire from an OS 70 Surpass to the servo in a wots wot,due to the carb being so central on the.the engine, any help would be appreciated
Denis Watkins
Use a 15 - 20mm M3 spaced nut, and 25 mm M3 hex cap head bolt underneath your throttle arm at th carb. This pushes the throttle movement away from centre. One of mine has a 30mm spacer, you choose.
Nigel R
Remove the carb. Turn it 180 degrees. Reattach. Throttle should be rather less central. At least that worked for my mk1 os70. Later version may be slightly different.
Jon H
Is the engine side mounted? Some photos and extra detail might help
Frank Skilbeck
My Thunder Tiger 75 FS is installed side mounted on my Wots Wot, I'll have to check the throttle routing. But this pic (not mine) shows a throttle linkage to an OS 70 Surpass that may work on your Wots Wot, it's something I've done on several models.

edwards flyboy
Thanks for that Frank,it's a Mark 1 Surpass, the throttle barrel is above the carbon, but that solution will help, providing that it does not interfere with the tank

Paul De Tourtoulon
Was there a specific reason not to turn the plastic throttle lever 180° ?.

Cuban8
The way I solved the problem of running a throttle snake to the awkwardly placed central carb arm on many fourstrokes for years now is to fix a 25mm M2 machine screw to the throttle arm (secured with a lock nut) and then use a standard heli ball link on the plain threaded extended end, again secured with washers and nuts on either side. Reliable and works a treat. Edited January 14, 2022 by Cuban8
