John Botomley
I purchased a lightly used Ripmax Wot's Wot foam-and I cannot get the ESC to work. My initial radio set up was a Futaba 8FG + R606FS FASST Rx - nothing - no beeps - just a low frequency "ticking" Next up was a new R617 FASST Rx - nothing - just a low frequency "ticking" I've tried calibrating the throttle channel, reversing the throttle channel (sometimes needed with Futaba) - nothing - just a low frequency "ticking" Next up was a Turnigy ESC with the R606FS Rx - nothing Next up I changed radio to a Spektrum Dx6i + AR 6200 Rx using DSM2 - everything worked fine with the Turnigy ESC, but nothing with the original Ripmax one - except a higher frequency ticking? I know the battery is fine, as is the motor. The BEC side of the Ripmax ESC works too Is it just a knackered ESC??
Denis Watkins
Ticking is often when one of the motor wires is not in circuit, not making contact. Test connectors and soldering all between motor and ESC
