Brian Sweeting 1
My first heat gun so maybe there are better but this one seems quite a reasonable bargain. Priced at £19.99 it has adjustable temperature control from 50 degC up to 650 degC for charcoal lighting along with variable airflow. I'll be using it for film shrinking as well as paint stripping. Robin Colbourne
Brian, thank you for the 'heads up'. Having just given away my own rather ancient Black & Decker heat gun to a friend's son who needed one, this Lidl one looks just what I need for ungumming engines and making epoxy flow. With its digital temperature display and temperature settings, it is virtually equivalent to the Steinel heat guns which cost five times the price that I have used in the workplace. I just hope there are some left in Lidl tomorrow. The vast majority of my experiences with Lidl and Aldi tools have been positive.
Robin Colbourne
My girlfriend popped in to Lidl this afternoon, only to find that they hadn't had any heat guns delivered. The manager suggested calling back in a few days. Other tools amongst this week's offers were there though (cordless drill, detail sander, sets of twist drills).
