J D 8
Bit late coming in on this one but to clear an obstruction on the strip just power up gain height and fly around. If on a dead stick glide dump it. We as humans pretty rubbish distance judging [ how many times when searching for a lost model it's found a lot further away than first thought ] so deciding whether to go left or right to clear an obstruction is a bit hit or miss if you pardon. Rich Griff
Inverted eights, that for a "B" test, sorry, achievement, surely ! ? Landing approaches are practised during training aren't they, so more or less continual "open throttle, gain some airspeed and hieght and go round again" manouvere, so nearly a " collision avoidance" manouvere . Doing that and your half way there...
Brian Cooper
For those who want a more demanding schedule of manoeuvres, the "C" Certificate is worth looking at.
