barryt
What is the significance of the white diamond painted on the top of the rear fuselage of this Magister? (photo Nigel Hitchman) Does anyone have a picture or drawing of the Magister blind flying hood deployed? Further info much appreciated. leccyflyer
Could it be a yellow gas detection patch, such as is sometimes seen on the wing of Mk1 Spitfires in 1940?
barryt
Thank you leccyflyer. You are spot on. I googled 'RAF Gas Detection Panel' and found all the information. I'll paint one on when the time comes. BS.381 No. 55 Lemon, or as near as I can get!
