Tim Kearsley
I have an Avios Spitfire which has had quite a few flights and now has a lot of play in both retracts when the wheels are down. When retracted they are nice and tight. I've removed the cover on one of them and there doesn't seem any way to remove the slop. Anyone any knowledge on whether there's any way to tighten them up? It's the internal mechanism I should add, not looseness of the leg in the retract.
Shaun Walsh
Sounds like wear in the gears or bearings, can you dismantle them and take a look? The replacements are on backorder at Hobbyking but if you can take them out and measure the dimensions you might find a pair that will fit, Hobbyking have a a few types. Glenn Philbrick
Have a close look as some of them have an adjustable stop that can be adjusted with a 1.5 km Allen key. I doubt they are worn as the gears are very small and well meshed if they wear they would be inclined to slip.

That's a VERY big Allen key?
