Not sure I agree with that! Some years (decades?) ago, I attended a helicopter competition in Belgium. "'Allo, 'Allo" had just started running on cable TV there. Every morning, the competition director started his briefing with "Listen very carefully! I shall say this only once" in a heavy French accent (he was Flemish)!

 

All the Belgians and Brits fell about laughing! The French glared, and the Germans just looked puzzled!
