Thread: Six Nations 2018

What a great day for Rugby.

Wales were fortunate to win

Ireland were brilliant and street wise.

Italy were unlucky to loose.

Me, Iv'e used up so many brownie points spending the day in front of the Box. The Memsahib was not amused.

Spotted this little ditty by local Bard Tom Wallace:-

Eddie Jones oh what were you thinking
Your comments have caused a big fuss
You've been forced to say sorry in public
For your views on the Irish and us

You thought you'd stroll to the title

Beating all other teams for fun

But events have conspired to thwart you
You could end up last but one

Your record is one to be proud of
But as we near the end of the week
Can I offer you one piece of wisdom
Try engaging your brain when you speak

By Jove what a fine day! What a fine day for putting a cucumber through someone's letterbox and shouting `Help the Martians have landed`. Ken Dodd

Silly but very funny laugh

Bakers Fluid is readily available on eBay. The containers have those squeeze to open tops. Should be safe enough.

Superb game of rugby. Ireland deserved the win, Wales left it too late and had too much to do. I still fancy Ireland for the Grand Slam, they'll be too much for England to handle.

Scotland v France a great game of rugby. Must be very disheartening to be in the Italian team at the moment. I agree about England, not living up to the Media hype. I recon Ireland will take the wheels of their chariot.

I know many people here in Wales are annoyed about that Try, but we must not assume it would have been a converted try. If allowed by the TMO it would added 5 points, not enough to win the game. Irritating never the less.

Wales will turn up at Rugby HQ today as underdogs, with nothing to loose. If we win, it will be like winning the Grand Slam. Forget the rest of the games in the Six Nations championship. If we loose, well it was only to be expected. I just hope the trash talk from Eddie Jones will prove sufficient motivation.

Thread: Mini Super

Thanks for your feedback fellers. Steve Hargreaves confirmed what I suspected that the tailplane was moved to make it easier to adjust the trim when single channel RC was the norm.

Having checked, Mini Super, it seems, was originally designed by Ernie Webster and later developed by David Boddington, hence its resemblance to other Boddington designs.

Mini Super

This photograph of the pre production Keil Kraft Mini Super clearly shows the tail plane mounted above the fuselage instead of the more familiar position below the fuselage as in the production version. Other than to make it easier to band on the tail plane, I cant think of any other reason why the change was made. It certainly wasn't to improve the look of the model. Does anyone have any thoughts? Would the change have altered the flying characteristics in any way?

Also, does anyone know what the wing loading is? or perhaps give me the wing area and the approximate weight.
