brokenenglish, You must have been gone a long time surprise Wings was aired in January 1977 and the second series a year later, and I remember as a young lad watching it. Its the RFC based in France and a squadron of Be2s against the germans and they come up against the first Eindeckers. Captain Triggers is a blooming Hero fantastic series so far. Im part way through the second series. 25 episodes in total.

I ordered "Wings" online and ive sat through the entire first series. The Be2 and the albatross in combat in the skies over france. Fantastic.

Thread: JR591 servo
19/02/2014 13:27:07

The Jr591 servos installed in my ageing Xtra Wot are rated at 4 volts.

I have just changed the Rx battery to a 6v 2300mha and was setting up the laser150 on the ground when the rudder servo died on me.(full right rudder applied by itself and locked there.)

Could this be just pure luck that it happened on the ground, or is it due to the 6 volts change of battery.

Luckily I have a similar specced spare futaba 9001 to replace it.

Thread: bottled it on the build
13/01/2014 16:19:39

Back in the 80s and still very relevant today I think, would be good old chriss Foss and the Wot 4 kits. The only daunting thing for a complete newbie would be the glass bandage on the wings and I always hated the Elevator hinges, but these days fuzzy hinges will solve that one. The Wot 4 or Acrowot Every time for a first build.

Hope that helps

Thanks steve, PM Sent.

Ive been a bit quite on here as ive been building my new shed, but its up and running now. Just need to catch up on a few old part builds/nearly finished projects.

Very kind of you indeed. Its a challenge finding much info on the c111 just ordered an old Windsock Datafile for info and hopefully some more colourful schemes than linen and dark brown.(not that there is anything wrong with that)
