I've just sent Steve an email requesting a canopy.

Al, Reface sounds good, I have to get some.

Hi Phil, you could use Holts Cataloy 'Knifing Putty' available from Halfords. It's ready mixed so you won't introduce air whilst mixing a two pack type filler. It's that fine it fills surface scratches and gives a extra smooth finish especially prior to painting or for your application Phil. Great canopy mould by the way.

Hi Alex,

I use nichrome wire see link. ( 80//20 nickel-chrome alloy resistance wire )  Web site for hot wire

I too have used the above wire from broken electric heaters, however it can be ordered on a 60m length bobbin, your power supply is adequate, however I tend to use a 12V DC battery charger with a 12v car battery in parallel.

The wire has a outer diameter of - 0.71mm - which is like a guitar ( note g-string ) which I've also used many years ago.

I've got bows from 15" to 50 " in length.

Here's a auto- slicing cut going on :-

Jet Warbird Arrivals

Two F-86 Sabres and a MiG-17 Fresco arrive at the 2018 TBM Avenger Gathering in Peru, IL.

F86-F is the one of the best fighters on the air show scene.
Looks like the MiG is quite a handful to land in a crosswind.
The F-86 and Mig 15 do grab attention at a air display.

Aerobatic Team Lanceri Neri 2a Aerobrigata F86E

With the F-84F the "Throwing Throws" of the 5th Aerobrigata return, which in 1959 gave birth to a new formation whose debut took place in Rieti. In view of the 1960 Rome Olympics the planes were decorated with the five Olympic rings on the drift, coupled with bright colours.

In 1960 the "Getti Tonanti" perform the coveted task of representative patrol of the AM, whose debut takes place in Rimini, home of the 5th Airbath. The performances take place with a formation of six F-84F (5 + 1) which, in addition to an already extensive repertoire, present a new acrobatic figure, the jet or fan.

The Rimini based exhibition is followed by many others in Italy and abroad.

Ok Harry, I'll include you in the next team. Peter, Simon and yourself, I tend' to balance the team up with the colours of the aircraft, I'll just wait for others to slide into the formation.
