Thread: Prostate Cancer

I stopped hormone injections 3 months after the end of radio therapy. Been told might take some months to be clear of the side effects though.

Well I went to my oncologist yesterday, full of trepidation, I needn’t have worried. My PSA is down from 13 to 0.2. He’s pleased I’m over the moon!

Can stop the dreaded hormone injections (already had done so) Have an appointment for blood test January 2021.

So I’m ok it seems. I wish all of undergoing treatment the very best wishes. It works. Mine was diagnosed early, so if been for test, please do soonest.

Regards.

A point missed I think is that most flying sites are remotely situated. Kids, even if interested, can’t get there under their own steam, especially carrying a days paraphernalia. Neither of the sites I frequent are even on a bus route.

Wishing all of you best wishes for 2020. My date with the oncologist has been brought forward to the 20 January, so not not long now. I’ve had a blood sample taken so he has the results on hand. So I’ve fingers crossed fo good news.

Hot flushes have gone! Will update on my my results soonest.

Yep, still here! I am not receiving any sort of treatment now. I have refused any more hormone injections from the practice nurse. No doctor/consultant has ever told me how long I should suffer them. So I’ve stopped. Not as radical as it may sound. I see my oncologist for the results of all my treatments on 27 January.

Fingers crossed there. So Seasons greetings to all, the treatment is solid.

Happy New Year.

Brilliant for boats, all I ever use. That said I have not tried using it on balsa wood.

Thanks for the replies re my query. This issue is getting to be as complicated as Brexit!

I only fly electric fixed wing and I’m wondering if it would be acceptable for me to display my CAA registration number on my battery’s. Either using a permanent marker pen or a self adhesive label on a visible side of the lipo. So if I made sure that each and every battery had my correct ID surely that would that suffice as the id number is constant and does not change with the aircraft. I can’t get airborne without battery power. ( my gliders are all powered as well)

What do you think? Or does it have to be displayed externally?

Hi,
Could anyone point me to any article, or video, that will show me how to put a top layer of heat shrink onto a bottom layer. I would like try, for the first time, to create patterns, rather than just settle for a single colour.

thanks.

Thread: Better builder than pilot

I look at it as a catch 22 situation. I fear flying my beauties as am not proficient, and, I guess, I’m not proficient because I’m afraid to fly much!

Thats the way it is, I’ve not found away out as yet.

I’ve even considered flying them one by one, until their inevitable destruction, until they have all gone to the big hanger in the sky. Stop building planes and concentrate on boats. (Which I find last forever!)

decisions, decisions. All help gratefully received.

01/10/2019 07:30:12

A kindred spirit. I’m with you on this. I have 10 aircraft built but never been out of the hanger! The 3 or 4 that have been airborne were all maidened by other people. I just can’t bare the thought of crashing them. I always seem to do that.

Two more under construction at present. Ah the joy of building. May shortly have to construct a larger hanger.
