I worked on them (both types) as a very young Air Mech (A&E) at Brawdy in 1965 during my first posting after tech training. Fascinating aircraft with the double Mamba engine(s). Quite a climb to the pilot's cockpit I remember!

But it says £9.99 on the box

It certainly does, but the special offer price label on the display says 'was £9.99 now 99p'

Just picked up one of these from Coleshill ALDI for 99p including battery! There were a lot of them half an hour ago.

At that price I bought it as a back up to my other three MMs laugh

Met an old ex RN friend recently who I hadn't seen for several years. Turns out he took that option three years ago.

He has check ups annually and the downside is that he can no longer rise to the occasion, but as he's eighty, he isn't too concerned about that, still enjoys a tot and feels fine.

Had the blood test this morning and have to wait a week for result, fingers crossed. If the result is good I'll raise a tot to you and all the other good people on here, or at least I would if they hadn't stopped it in Aug 71 crying

PS My brother Danny Shepherd was on Phantoms, 893 Ark Royal as I remember.

I've never has a PSA blood test in my young life (71) but, prompted by this thread, I'm booked in next Thursday to have a Claret extraction thinking

My GP told me that our American cousins routinely have annual PSA blood tests.

Thread: S6R receivers
18/02/2019 19:12:25
Posted by IanR on 18/02/2019 18:19:18:

Well, I would set the trims and carry on, except...

My X9D+ is upgraded to 2.2.3 (ae5ac05b) downloaded from Companion with lua, luac. eu and noheli selected on the settings page, the Bootloader is 2.2.3 and I have flashed 2 x S6Rs with the latest RX firmware (s6rlbt20180328_1.frk). I have used the lua from the TX to calibrate the S6Rs with the default Quick Mode. Whilst in the lua script I reduced the Rudder Gain slightly but left all the other parameters untouched (because I don't understand them).

I fitted an S6R into my Riot and only the throttle worked. The rudder would twitch ever so slightly but the ailerons and elevator were completely dead.

I have tried both S6Rs on the bench connected to servos with the same result.

I have gone back into the lua and disabled Quick Mode and the servos react normally. Then re-enabled Quick Mode and back to square 1 - no joy.

Can someone please help. (and also explain why lua and luac)

Thanks. Ian

As well as the manual Mike refers to, I found this RC Groups forum thread useful when I started using the SRs :-

I'm in the need of a cheap scroll saw, I've managed without one since I came back into the hobby. Must be in working order, spare blades available & within 50 miles from Southport or in a box substantial enough to trust to a carrier.

I bought a brand new Aldi scroll saw twelve months ago on a whim because they were on special offer.

It's not even been taken out of its original box, so that's how much I needed it!

£30 collected from near Coleshill or you organise a courier at your expense.
