I've got a 4 channel Futaba 35 Mhz Tx & Rx which I bought and used circa 1986 with an Algebra glider, which I also still have!

You're welcome to the Tx/Rx for gratis plus postage if you wish.

Very nice Colin, but I can't help wondering how sickening it will be for you whenever anyone compliments you on your nice Auster frown

Absolutely! From another ex full size Auster pilot cool

Thread: Strange Win 10 PC problem
04/05/2017 16:18:28

I recently had a problem with W10 on my pc (auto updated from W7) so I downloaded this: **LINK**

I ran it, chose the usb option then booted off the usb stick and installed a clean W10. It recognises if W10 has been installed before but you lose all progs and files, unless you've got the files backed up!

Last week I used the same usb again on my grandsons W10 laptop which he'd messed up.

I have put the usb away for future use.................

No guarantees, but it worked for me.

However, what there is a huge appetite for is a "Super Taranis". Hall effect gimbals as std, better quality switches and a revised case that fits in with the family resemblance of the Q7 and Horus - maybe even a colour screen could be added. Priced around the £250-300 mark (or more likely 350 if the colour screen was added) it would be a huge seller, but will they do it? I hope so, but I'm not holding my breath; if it were wildly successful it might also kill Horus sales stone dead.

Looks like it's arrived; I'm in smiley

Thread: S8R Rx

Anyone using an S8R with a Taranis Plus?

I've been using several X8Rs over the last three years and shortly will need more RXs.

The new S8R is only ~£1 more than the X8R so it seems silly not to go for the stabiser option.

I read in another thread that the S6R is a bit complicated to set up with a Plus Tx.

Any experiences/tips people?

TIA Shep

Eagle899, I used to have a 1/5 share in that Auster with Dick Larder and a couple of others in the mid-nineties. It was painted then in silver with yellow bands with markings of the Royal Auxiliary Air Force squadron that it was with in 1946. Small world, when were you involved with it?

Small world indeed Colin; I had a 1/5 share for several years from 2002 and flew out of a strip at Streethays Farm, by the A38. Shep

Reminds me of an Auster too.

It takes me back to when I used to fly this one out of a farmstrip near Lichfield, Happy Days.ajae_streethays.jpg

Shep: thanks for that, presumably you upgraded OS to Windows 10 . I've done that on another PC and had no problems with already installed programs. Sometimes those won't install on a fresh windows 10 build...

Norm

Correct, I installed it on W7 before W10 install....................we need a test pilot thinking
