As a teenager in the flower power sixties it has to be 'Like a Rolling Stone' for me, happy days
Thread: OpenTx - what is the fuss really about?
I've been using Taranis/Open TX/Companion for about two years and think it's the bees knees.
How about a survey to find out what percentage of forumites are using this system versus Futaba, Specky et al?
Thread: How do you make the DECISION.
As all of my aircraft cost £50 or less my wife has never objected, provided she has a similar amount for clothes etc.,
Thread: BMFA Website?
Looks like it, but if you remove the s from https then you can still view the ads:-

Thread: reccomend me a printer please
For a long time now I have bought my ink cartridges from **LINK**
Currently I can get 5 sets of cartridges for £13.99 delivered!
Never had an issue with them.

Thread: reccomend me a printer please
Epson, I've had several over the years without problems.
Current one (SX425W) is a printer/scanner/copier, cost about £50 five years ago and I use non OEM inks which are cheap too.

Thread: rc plane crash - 68% pitts challenger robbie skipton at raf cosford
Saw his displays on Saturday and Sunday but I'm pleased that I missed the accident flight.
I saw Robbie on Saturday and asked him where the blue monster pilot was that used to be in the cockpit.
Seriously though, crying shame to total a super aircraft. I hope Robbie and his dad build another.

All going to Cosford should be aware of this: **LINK**
Just in case!

Thread: HELP! Ryobi 4st engine problem.
I had the same problem with my hedge trimmer (not Ryobi). It turned out that the carb had become slightly loose and was allowing excess air in. Refitted the carb using threadloc, problem solved. HTH

Keep an eye on the BMFA ads....I bought an iCharger 306B for £70 last year; excellent charger with temp sensor.

It didn't float, it was on the sea bed in shallow water and it was carried out to the ship on a pontoon which you can see beneath the aircraft as it's being lifted aboard by crane on to the flight deck.
We moved it below deck to storage in the hangar and cannibalised parts from it for the rest of the commission, then it went for repair.

Further to my last and as it was too windy to fly today, I had a look through my archives and found the following piece of history about cab 131:-
Lt. Cdr. Bob McCulloch RN. Commanding Officer 899 Squadron. January 1967 wrote:-
In retrospect one amusing event occurred at RAF Gan. Whilst using Gan as the diversion one of the Vixens had to divert to the airfield. The pilot F/O Lewis RAF (another development at that time) on finding that one of his wheel brakes unserviceable, and remembering his airfield briefing, asked for the "barrier" to be raised. On being told that this had been done he landed but could see no barrier, there followed a series of "where is it", "its up" etc before the aircraft gently rolled into the sea at the end of the runway. The irate Wing Commander Flying was more than a little taken aback to find two RAF officers climbing out of the Vixen and an irate John Lewis asking where hell was the barrier; the RAF "barrier" was in fact an arrestor wire! So much for interservice co-operation, the RAF later changed the name to hook wire.
I was one of the lads on the flight deck looking down; please note that the crew were RAF on exchange
Nice photos and I see that they have one of my squadron aircraft, 131, which I worked on fifty years ago on the Eagle Shep

In the MIxes tab at the bottom you'll see options for delay and up/down
Double click on the switch you're using.
Or if you're doing it on the Tx go to MIXER then hold down Ent on the u/c switch for edit options.
