Thread: How to set flaps on a Futaba 10J Transmitter
09/02/2019 17:13:17

I am having problems setting up flaps on my Futaba 10J tranny .I have selected switch E ( do not like the VR switch ) and the flaps work OK on switch E but I want to adjust the flap setting on switch E so I have less movement on the 3 way switch but do not have a clue how you do this ,At the moment there is too much movement and I would like to make the flaps and bit less .Anyone know how or if you can do this ???

Thread: Freewing F86 Sabre up elevator????
05/02/2019 21:16:25

Anyone have a Freewing F86 Sabre .Just brought one ,not yet flown it .I have been told you have to set it up with a slight bit of up elevator as standard otherwise it will nose down .Is this the case and how much up elevator is needed .Better to have it sorted before I take her for the maiden flight

Just received my Flightline 1600mm Corsair from Motion RC .This is one really good looking model .Went together like a dream in an hour and it does look the part especially with those big scale props .I am waiting on a receiver so can not see if everything is working OK but being Flightline I am sure it will all be fine I can not wait to maiden it but might wait untill the better weather is here The quality on this model is excellent blush

Thread: war birds,FMS or DYNAM,Which are the best brand?
12/01/2019 11:50:01

Think I will take a look at the FMS Hawk then ,Thanks

11/01/2019 20:49:20

That is an interesting point Ron .I have always brought Freewing kits I know FMS have up their game .Might have to take a look at FMS then .I am thinking about the Freewing Hawk but reading your bit maybe I should look at the FMS Hawk before I buy one

11/01/2019 20:46:06

Freewing and Flightline are the same company .Freewing do mainly E D F (Jets ) while Flightline do warbirds .Also Sussex Models do Freewing/Flightline kits

11/01/2019 20:41:43

FMS are much better then Dynam .Dynam are cheap but fly really well but there servo ,retracts and esc can be a problem .If you want a really good scale foamy then there is only one .Go for Freewing /Flightline Look up "Motion R C Europe or RC Castle .They are the top foamy you will see ,really scale looking and fly great

Thread: Need a new pilot ?
10/01/2019 16:45:18

I have a Seagull Spacewalker 120 and today my pilot decided to end it all and jump out of the Spacewalker 120 .A search was conducted but the pilot was never found RIP crying .So I need a new pilot but I can not seem to find one at a sensible price ,I think the Spacewalker is 1/4 scale but I might be wrong . I can not seem to find a pilot that will suit the Spacewalker 120 .Anyone know where I can find a replacement .I have found the same pilot on some web sites but are all out of stock .Anyone know where I can find a replacement pilot for the spacewalker 120

Thread: Laser Engines - Technical questions
03/01/2019 21:53:37

Thanks that has answer my question

03/01/2019 20:16:35

A person in our club is building a Seagull Stuka (90 inch ) he has 50 cc petrol engine to put in the Stuka .Just a thought anyone tell me if the Laser 180 would be powerful enough to fly the Stuka .I know Seagull recommend a 50 cc petrol engine for the Stuka,I know the Laser 180 is not a 50cc engine but sometimes the manafactures over power there models ( a good example is the Seagull Gipsy Moth ,Seagull recommend a 120.4 stoke for the Gypsy Moth and I fly it on a Laser 80 and it is perfect )I I have always like the Stuka but I do not like big 2 stroke petrol engines .To noisy for me much prefer the sound of a Laser 4 stroke and what with the Laser twin not being in production at the moment just thought if a Laser 180 would do the job but I think I might be asking a bit to much from the Laser 180 ?
