You should receive an email confirming Bob. Check your junk mail just in case it goes there.

Thread: August Nationals 2019

An enjoyable (if exhausting smile) weekend. Thanks to all who made it what it was.

It was good to see the FPV GP racing too. It may not be everyone's cuppa but was interesting and added to the mix. I dropped down to Buckminster yesterday to watch the DLG and F3J - again, well worth seeing.

Sad news, Brian Winch - RCM&E’s wizard of oz engine guru and much loved columnist passed away last Thursday. His monthly column, which ran for several decades, will be sorely missed and I know readers will join me in extending condolences to his family and friends around the world.

Thread: RCM&E Fly-In 2019 - general chatter
15/08/2019 14:21:51

Paul - Tony is there both days and intends to judge on the Sunday.

John - No, but bear in mind it's a fly-in so, depending on how busy things are, jets may not have the sky to themselves.

Chris, if you're in the UK then yes.

Contacting subscriptions direct will get you a replacement.

Robert Chamberlain, I was responding to Robert Feltham’s post above. wink

Robert, changing (or trying to) your address on this website doesn’t inform subscriptions (an outsourced function). Just email or call subscriptions with the details and your instructions:

Thanks for the kind comments all.

I'm still looking after this site of course, writing for the mag' and helping Kevin with bits and bobs. I'm sure Graham will appear in print every now and then too.

A JP Powertorque 12V engine starter Andy.

That's the name of the version sold in the USA Nicky. It's the same otherwise. Assume you're in the UK? It might be worth giving subscriptions a call if you'd like a replacement with the UK title.

Thread: Online magazine viewer problems
25/07/2019 11:08:24

Nothing has changed as far as I’m aware, glad it’s ok now though.

24/07/2019 17:05:53

I’ve learned that the change was driven by a need to move from Flash to HTML for the website as Flash will cease to exist in 2020.

Stephen, are you saying the viewer doesn’t work at all? No magazine is visible? Pages can’t be turned? Or that the viewer doesn’t operate very well?

It seems fine to me on an iPad. Viewing pages in portrait means I can read text without zooming although, granted, landscape needs a zoom.

David.

Hi Stephen, let me do some finding out then return to you.

Thread: Electric Cars.
20/07/2019 11:12:26

Folks. Could I ask that you refrain from altering other posts as a means of reply, it's not nice (and is now in the CoC). At the same time please also refrain from posting opinions as fact in a desire to have the last word. On any forum that's practically impossible. wink 2

Thread: FMS T28 Trojan v4.
19/07/2019 07:15:11

Colin, I had the same trouble with an Edf Jet from FMS recently. The nose leg was cycling as I flew around, luckily it decided to stay down long enough to land. I wondered if plugging the nose leg retract directly into the RX might help and it did, problem solved.

So, if you have a spare receiver channel try doing that. I got the impression that the three-way y lead into which the retracts connect was the problem and the nose leg wasn’t getting the power it needed prompting it to behave erratically,

Thread: Turning detective, can you help?
18/07/2019 13:34:52

Yep, that’s pretty conclusive. Thanks Martin, I’m looking forward to a good read.
