Thread: Taft 1250mm wingspan B25 motor spares
06/06/2017 22:08:03

I know the shaft thread is 4BA, one motor being reversed thread with motor running contra rotating, I also lost one of the reverse thread nuts and again haven't been able to lo ate any. Making g a shaft is beyond my skill set and I don't have a lathe. Thanks for BRC, I will check this out. Anymore help gratefully received. Cheers Stuart

To cut a long story short, one of my .motor shafts has slight bend. Does anyone know if and where I might get a replacement? I have removed the motor, taken the front grub screw and rear circlip, I am struggling to get the shaft out but expect I will ultimately succeed. My main pro elm is finding spares on the internet, so far props don't appear to be available. Help please.

This is all very interesting and shows, horses for courses. I would say to the guy putting in the Irvine 72, just to double check the C of G, as not enough power with a rearward C of Gcould be tragic, slight nose heavy is always. Best to start with. I have another issue which you all may help who already have this model flying. The previous owner and someone else I know says the elevator push rod vibrates like bell and wonder if anyone converted to move the servo to near the stabilizer and how they configured this?

Thanks for all of this, I will check the fin and the whole aircraft over before flying. Obviously with your comments I will try the installed engine, the C of G appears to be bang on and the previous owner is a very experienced flyer. Cheers Stuart

That's great to hear, what prop are you using please?

I have just acquired a Wot4 XL MK2 with an ASP120 4 stroke. I wonder if this will be powerful enough for full aeronautics, experiences

Just picked up this apc /asp, please don't worry, it is an age thing. I tend to view time as the currency these days. Fortunately long term memories appear to be intact, but getting one's phone, sandwich and briefcase into the car in one go is a challenge. Happy aeromodelling, Stuart

Thanks, on that basis, a 7 by 6 should do it. Best regards Stuart
