Thread: static thrust
11/07/2017 09:55:09

i am converting a 50" ultimate (91 2stoke) that has been in my loft for many years to leccy,

Am I right in assuming as a rule of thum that static thrust should be around the all up weight of model

I am trying to match a motor to the model whilst trying to keep costs down and also trying to use 6s lipo

I wondered where the fire service was. Those marshalls were either brave, foolhardy, or both. Fist rule of a rescuer is you don't become a casualty yourself. Day one of the training program.

Certainly the case for a bystander / wannabee first-aider, but I assume the marshals had at least rudimentary training to check for fuel leakage etc. I'm amazed, not by the first person to approach, but just how many people surrounded the plane later, doing not very much...

the videos ive seen show the spectators lift the plane to get the pilot out
