Thread: Hurricane Building Tips and Plan/Woodpack queries
17/03/2018 19:08:03
Hi John, as a viewer from the outside I think you're being overly negative in such a public forum. Can I just ask, have you ever had a plan published and a kit created? If you have then the PSSA might welcome your insight.

Hi John, I've obviously misunderstood something, blame it on being old, but I don't see how that is connected to hurricanes?
Thread: Scale markings

I've used them, great service and for the bits I needed, much cheaper than any UK supplier. More options available off the shelf too. Recommended.
Thread: A-10 Thunderbolt from the Mike Pastro Plan
13/03/2018 19:17:00
There was another pss A10 somewhere, not sure if it ever got finished? If it's the same you could see where the canopy came from?

Thread: End for Maplins?
28/02/2018 22:22:50
It's a shame, they've always had a decent selection of useful and sometimes hard to find bits.
Thread: WOW! New Jet Freewing Phantom II 90mm edf semi-scale

Thread: Telly tonight - slope soaring at Ivinghoe.

Good lord, I remember David Woods, and Graham, from 20+ years ago up there. Big into F3B at the time. Great to see he's still active.
Thread: DLG Tailplane and Fin construction methods

You might be better off asking here -

There's a much more active DLG group there from competition pilots, retailers and manufacturers.

Amazon don't own their warehouses and they don't pay to have them built and have very few staff under their employment compared to how many work their. And they are working towards not owning any of the stock as it takes away from there profit.

As someone who's worked for Amazon for many years this is the biggest load of garbage I've read for a while. Complete fiction.

Thread: Middle Phase 2

Having built and flown many over the years.....

- Don't fret over making it super light, they all come out about the same. I used to ballast mine and it was fine.
- 1000mAh is too small
- Don't start beefing it up, all you do is move the failure point and add unnecessary weight.
Thread: T9 Hobby Sport

Same here, I had an issue recently with a faulty servo, not T9's fault at all but it was immediately replaced. Great service.
Thread: Hitec Servo's
25/11/2017 14:51:38

I've used a lot of Hitec servos over the years, everything from micro to high torque monsters and have always been pleased with them. In the early days the plastic gears seems to be the weak link but these days they're my 'go to' brand. thumbs up
