this is the instrument panel i made. the article in the rcme and experience of scale models helped. first i painted the inside of the holes silver and then the outside black. i downloaded the harvard instruments and resized them to fit behind the holes. next a thin piece of plastic was glued on the back of the panel using pva and allowed to dry. the instruments i wanted were then cut out with an overlap and glued in place. the lights are pin heads trimmed and stuck on. then the black paint was touched up.

hope i'm not teaching my granny to suck eggs as the saying goes!

this is where i started, not a great picture but laid the parts on the plan and started sticking them together. it all seemed to fit well over the drawing and i followed it to ensure the alignment was ok1551556091514.jpg

first post to get started. began the build on 2/3/19 with the fuselage. no real problems although i was not 100% on matching the parts kit to the plan. soon got it resolved though and started putting it together.

fuse3.jpgDid a bit on the fuselage over the last few days. No real issues apart from re sizing the doublers at the very front in the engine bay.fuse1.jpg

That looks great Tony. Can I send you my panel for finishing pleasewink Are those Pin Heads perchance?

Cheers

Peter

Thanks peter, well spotted they are pinheads. The rest is the harvard instrument panel download from this site amd resised with the printer to fit behind the holes. There is also a thin sheet of plastic to give the impression of glass. Doesn't show in the picture though

Hi, I think someone may have replied to this but they are top and bottom of the tail seat where the fuselage joins at the tailplaine. There is also a thin piece of ply that provides a support for the tail wheel.

Hi all

Does anyone have any idea where this part fits? (6mm Triangular 2 off).
