Thread: PSSA Gliding Events 2019

Heres a link to google maps MULBERRY.

Basic driving directions for the technically challenged are as follows wink

After exiting the Orme's "Marine Drive" stay on Abbey Rd, then second left and at roundabout turn right to join A546 Bryniau Rd towards Deganwy and Conwy.

At Llandudno Junction, take 3rd right at the large roundabout, head over the bridge into Conwy town ( castle on your left ) keep straight, onto Rosehill St, through the archway, onto A547 towards Bangor.

Just before the railway bridge ( approx 1/2 ml ), turn right onto Morfa Drive, pass the school on your right, go over the bridge crossing the A55 expressway onto "Ellis Way" and turn right following signs for the pub.

Table booked in my name. There is an overflow car park close by if needed. See you there for 8pm seated.

Right folk - list has now been submitted and this "order" is now closed. However, I have asked for a few extra seat spaces in case of late additions, and with a bit of luck they should have most if not all of the food for any latecomers on the menu anyway. A couple have dropped out and a coup[le of new ones been added, so Im sure it will all work out fine.

Incidentally there are various bands playing in "RockFest" from noon through to 11pm outside on the marina decking area, so we should be able to enjoy live music during the evening. Just all pray for good winds now please!

See you all up the big rock on Saturday

Hi Phil.

You just beat me to it with the menu choices.

Question tho. After choosing and including choice in the message area does pressing ADD POSTING make it all work? As when I next looked I was no longer signed in.

Yes Tom, thats correct.

However, I have received your PM to me ( Personal Message ) with your choices, so dont post it here again matey

Thread: Motors ...for beginners - please keep it simple

A wattmeter will save it's cost the first time it saves an ESC!

It had already been stated in the o/p that his friend didnt have a meter. The thead title is motors for beginners keep it simple.
Im SIMPLY saying a 9" prop on 72" plain model is too small. Without knowing the exact motor specs - especially max current capabilities Its impossible to be sure. However, most decent sized 950 kv motors ive used or got are fine on a 12"prop and 12v.
Mind you - what do I know 😄

Hi Pete. Personally I would go for a bigger prop - a 72" Model seems rather large for a 9" prop. If he wants to use a 3s lipo (which id recommend ) then on a 960kv motor I would probably prop at at about 12 X 6 or so. I use an 1100 kv motor on a similar setup and its pulling around 38A. 😊
