Thread: Mini flight stabilisers
Thanks Jeffery, I'll try both...
Thanks for the edit Dennis, I'll try that.
Thanks Denis, I assume you mean 'Yes, lift the tail so that the fuze is parallel to the ground and then reset the NX3' ?
I have a fitted a NX3 in my Mignon (Wot4 lookalike from a free RCME plan). First time I've used a stabilizer and it seems to work very well. I just wondered if I have set its initial position correctly. It is on the floor of the aircraft, and as its a taildragger, it is not parallel to the ground. Should I lift the tail so that the fuselage is 'level' and then re-initialise the NX3 before a flight? I'm not so sure about how these things work, do they relate themselves to 'levelness' or to their original position? If the latter then surely they would make the plane fly in a nose up attitude?
Thread: The Gov't, CAA, BMFA & UAV legislation thread
So, I'm a lone country member flying in a neighbour's field. If I take a friend to watch and he asks to have a go, does he have to have passed the online test and paid the £9 ?
Thread: How can I upload my RCC
I've just passed the BMFA Registration Competency Certificate online and printed out the actual certificate, but I seem to have missed how to upload it into my membership profile. Can anyone help please or direct me to the instructions? Thank you!

Jump in the back when I get the engine started - then I'll send it up and down the runway - that'll fool them!
Thread: Mentor v Funcub
The Tundra does look good but it is not available in the UK or EU warehouses and the uncertainty of customs and the p&p puts me off. I'll contact Hobbyking and find out if this is just a temporary state. Thanks again all.
Thanks for your replies chaps, especially to Speedstar for your videos. Obviously a bit more to it than I thought - perhaps I'll fit the flaps to the Mentor initially. My flying field can get a bit rough and length restricted as well depending on the nearby livestock - for that reason alone the short take offs and landings would be useful.
Hi all, I have had a Multiplex Mentor for some years and am quite happy, albeit a little bored with it. I have never seen a Funcub in the flesh, as it were, but it tempts me very much. Is it worth me buying one for the fun of it or could I convert the Mentor to be pretty similar. Is it just a question of oversize wheels and flaps or something else more subtle, that makes the Funcub apparently so popular? I am a lone flier, clubs being many many miles away, so no hope of getting a side by side comparison.
Thread: RC Life website down
Does anyone know anything about RC Life, their website seems to be down at the moment although I'm sure I was browsing it a couple of days ago?

Hate to be so pedantic Erfolg but I do believe it's Disease not Decease; however one does often lead to the other
Sadly I am too far away to benefit from your generous offer!

Looks like some fool has tried to land his fixed wing on the helipad.
The new Club RC Buggy has been quite successful at retrieving models from the outfield!
