I am not sure what you want to do, 2.4GHz systems are not channelized, you just need to bind the receiver to the transmitter.

My Ford (not a Focus) has a heated windscreen. The power is fed in to both sides at the lower edge but the earth return is at the top center.

As I understand it the show will again be on the Southern side of the runway this year. Last year there was a bus service to the museum running all day on the show days.

This is bad news Delta Whiskey As you may have read our club (Surrey RCC) lost our field to development last year. Luckily our landlord offered us a new strip on another part of his farm! Anyway if you have no luck I am sure that any of your members within range of Crawley/Horsham would be welcome to join us at our new strip, which is looking quite good now and will get better with mowing in the spring.

Not sure if anyone mentioned it, but you don't have to be an LMA member to use the over 20Kg scheme.

OK Daithi I will take my zero knowlege somewhere else, but before I go, and i do realise that what you said is almost strictly true, the extra gain is obtained by reducing the signal radiated in all but the horizontal direction. Therfore the signal stength above the horizon will be lower, if the antena is vertical. As most models are flown above the horizon I am not sure the extra gain is worthwhile.

Bye Bye, Brian

31/10/2014 12:34:25

"a co-linear (multi-segment) aerial will give an increase in gain but still be omnidirectional"

oooh magic, please explain where this extra power comes from, could be useful for a perpetual motion device I am looking into.wink

Regards Brian

Thread: Upgrading to digital access
18/09/2014 17:54:59

When they dropped the access to the digital archive from print subscribers I decided to not renew my subscription.

I hope I don't miss the magazine too much, I think not it's only full of ARTF reviews these days anyway.
