Thread: DSMX transmitter recall |
11/06/2011 10:45:16 |
I really like my dx6i and dx8 but is seems to me that in there eagerness to place items on the market full testing is a little bit lax i'm going to lose both my transmitters for a week or so and the dx6i has been recalled before as were the 500 receivers as things get more complicated the more to go wrong . I wonder that if a plane now dos some damage to a person or property and you had not sent it back for an upgrade who would pay the insurance if Geenacres are talking to the BMFA about it must be some concern over it Martyn |

And an electric conversion would not break the bank these days. I reckon I could spec something up for that thing for around £100 or less. OK but how much would the bits cost

Thread: Brushed ESC and lipos |
24/05/2011 19:10:03 |
LVC = low voltage cutoff this is the point that the lipos acan safly be discharged in order to be then not to be damage and can be recharged . brushless ESC you can set this so at low power it will stop the Motor but will continue powering the BEC conecting the recever . so on a brushed setup if the lipos drop to much then the power to the reciver may fail and you are left with a uncontroled model .I have a brushed setup on my twinstar but have the reciver and servods on a seperate battery but still time my flights so not to run the lipos down to much hope this helps

Thread: High wing vs Low wing |
04/05/2011 17:42:05 |
A high wing model flys slower and reacts a bit slower than a low wing as a rule like all thing the are exceptions but that is the main reason we use high wing as trainers . a low wing model is usually faster and turns loops and rolls and generally more aerobatic but a low wing will stay where you put it and is less forgiving but if its trimed porpley and you feel your ready go for it this is where you realy stat to learn how to fly ![]() all the best
