Thread: Battle of Britain: Model Squadron
Boys with toys, I doubt many of us would argue about that. No worse than boys knocking balls into holes with sticks or sitting by the pond drowning worms. The point that this was a hobby done for pleasure was made.
Thread: Beagle Pup 150
Pup wing on reverse of Isabella wing plan, lower right.
Thread: UK Could Be Banned From All USA Imports
I thought of a witty comment there but decided it may upset the mods
Thread: Unwanted realism!
Well it was a success over several flights and probably converted the doubters. Great work Simon
Thread: St Austell gets new strip
That's looking good. Even I should be able to land on that.
Thread: World Cup 2018
Never mind the world cup and golden boot, what about Oscars and diving medals?
Some of the players antics are disgusting.

Thread: Digitised Free Plans
Take the free plan to a copy shop and get a copy or two then you can keep the original and cut up the copies as required. Nearest copy shop, see yellow pages.
Thread: When your lifestyle finally catches up with you.
Allopurinol (100mg) 2 per day sorted mine out, still get a slight touch of it occasionally but not a problem.Even as a youngster I occasionally got aches in my foot (classic big toe just like the kids comics used to show the wicked baron with heavily bandaged foot) so not booze.
Thread: Engine cutting
Flush out the tank, carb and fuel tubes just in case it could be contamination. If you have altered the carb during the recent warmer weather it could be the engine is now over cooling.
Thread: Take off into wind ?
Another person reading guidelines as rules.
Thread: Left TX switched on..
Be happy that you hadn't changed to LiPos for TX

With the smokeing exhaust being a failure, its just as well I got rid of my Wartburg (3 cyl 2 stroke).
Thread: Radio 35meg
The only thing against 35 MHz occurs if you still have old models with it installed but are now mainly using 2.4 in your latest models then one day decide to fly that. old hanger queen, and forget to extend the 35 Tx ariel, don't ask me how I know !!

Thread: The plane that saved Britain
All the aircraft mentioned were important but were no use without crews. The men who flew them ( and the women who delivered them) won the war. Also important were those who built and maintained them.

Thread: wot4 on floats
Some years back I was a member of the Reading club and they had float plane flying events some members Wot 4s on floats. The floats were made from eps by one of the members then skinned with thin ply. All flew well. I believe the same floats were used for Puppeteers.
Thread: can i still bank paper £10 notes
I think a bank will still accept them
Thread: Getting Edgy
X-Acto was the brand name of the favourite knife when I started 60 years ago. they were available in boxed sets of three handles and a selection of blades. These sets are now copied by various makers but are often of poor quality. I have a set of the poor copies but it is in my garage so 6" of snow is stoping me from getting them and photographing then to attach to this post.

My memory may be a bit off but wasn't there a model called the puddle duck some years back, I seem to recall it was an amphibian ?
