Another vote for RC Planemaster. It is good value for money and does all you need as a beginner.
Thread: epioneer nose wheel steering and esc

In that case use a Y lead and connect it with the rudder to the rudder channel.

Nose wheel can be operated from the rudder servo. use a hole closest to the centre of the horn to reduce stress on the servo. You need to make sur the wheel turns in the right direction and you may need to use the other side of the horn from the rudder push rod to achieve this.

Thread: Hawker Nimrod Balance points?
03/09/2010 10:20:31
Yes the balance point is in the same place but scaled up. Sound like you need some nose weight to balance slightly nose down, which is the preferred attitude.

I have built one of the original Fusions. Its a good model and Gavin is very helpful and replied to all my emails. Their web site is half there looks like they have a problem at the moment.

Thread: Taking Off And Landing

I think the problem here is about interpretation and enforcement of rules. When the club atmosphere is friendly, open, cooperative and flexible all these problems disappear. It's only when you get  an over zealous individual trying to tell others what to do that problems occur. It's for more about attitude that its is about this rule or that rule.

That is a great idea. My son has just finished a YT International Spit (not flown yet) and I have a Ripmax Spit to build. I am sure I can get it done before then.

Thread: Taking Off And Landing

I almost always stand in the pilots box, or close by, for take off and landing. For hand launch I will stand out on the patch to launch into wind. I think it is good practice to be able to control your model while standing to the side.
No criticism   intended just how I do it.

Thread: prop nuts on 4 strokes
16/08/2010 18:38:04
Yes. I have not seen this before but it will certainly help to lock the domed nut on to the end of the crankshaft.
Thread: Where to buy fuel?
14/08/2010 09:26:22
I always stock up when I go to a show. I bought 10 gallons from Southern Modelcraft at Wings and Wheels. I find you can always get a good price if you are willing to buy a few gallons. Last year I bought 7 Gallons form Model Techniques at a very reasonable price at Hop Farm.
