Does anyone know the make of this 60" wingspan Mustang I bought on Ebay. It has plug-in Wings and a hatch underneath for radio access. It is an artf as it has printed covering.

I had the same problem with the under-cart I recessed a piece of 1/4" ply in place of plastic base plate, cut a piece of 1/16" ply to fit inside fuselage and drilled through and fixed with nylon bolts I made the 1/4 ply come to the edge of the battery hatch and screwed the latch to it.
Thread: info on old model wanted

Hi David
I had one of these when I first started in the 1970s. If I remember correctly it was a 3 channel model  Rudder Elevator and Throttle I flew it with an OS 25 two stroke. I learnt the basics on it but gave up flying soon after until about 4 Years ago.

I can only go on the advice of the BMFA examiner who is not a member of my club.

Before I took my A test I asked the examiner about flying on the buddy lead. I was told I should as it was in the club rules, but if my instructor intervened I would obviously have failed.I often wished during training I could have flown solo.
20/10/2010 21:57:39
The reason for the strict rule on buddy lead is there is a road on 2 sides of our flying site so it is strictly on safety
20/10/2010 17:49:12
Yes one of the rules of the club is you cannot fly without a buddy lead until you pass your A
So if you did the test without a buead you would be breaking the club rule. this is what the examiner said

Eric I agree a first class instructor is vital but it feels good to get off the buddy lead. My club insist on the buddy box until you pass the A test.

Well done Eric, I am another 60+ jusdt passed my A on Monday also with an Arising Star Its a great feeling
